Professor Herbert W. Marsh overseas and supervises the research associated with Next Stage Purpose. Professor Marsh has been recognized as the most productive educational psychologist in the world and the 11th most productive researcher across all disciplines of psychology. He is a highly cited researcher on ISI’s list of the “world’s most cited and influential scientific authors over a sustained period according to a common standard that covers all countries and all scientific disciplines” (http://isihighlycited.com/).
Professor Marsh founded the SELF Research Centre that has 450 members and satellite centers at leading universities around the world. His major substantive interests include self-concept and motivational constructs, he introduced the term Big-fish–little-pond effect (BFLPE) that has been popularized by the likes of Malcolm Gladwell. Professor Marsh is a Professor at the Institute of Positive Psychology and Education at Australian Catholic University and Professor of Education at The University of Oxford.
